super sweet, American recipe
To make the meringues, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form and carefully fold in the powdered sugar and peanuts. Using a teaspoon, place small mounds onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and immediately place in the oven at 100°C for 2 hours to dry. Then turn off the oven and let the meringues cool completely, preferably overnight, without opening them. Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie, stir in the milk and butter. Then stir in the peanut butter and powdered sugar and let the mixture cool, possibly briefly in the refrigerator. Then spread the cream on the bottom of two meringue mounds at a time and sandwich them together. Allow to set. Melt the dark chocolate for decoration and draw thin stripes over the meringue surface.
