Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 200 g tomato paste
  • 4 onions
  • 8 carrots
  • 8 potatoes
  • 500 g white cabbage
  • 350 g peanut butter
  • 2 kg minced meat
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 chili peppers, red
  • Oil (sunflower oil)
  • Maggi
  • salt and pepper

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

African peanut pot with minced meat

Peel the carrots, potatoes, white cabbage, and onions and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Brown the minced meat in a pan with sunflower oil, add the crushed garlic, and season with salt. Stir the tomato paste into a little water and add it to the minced meat, then let it simmer for a while. Add the chopped carrots, potatoes, white cabbage, onions, and chilies (deseeded and finely diced) and fill with water until everything is just covered. Cook until the vegetables are tender but still crunchy. Stir in the peanut butter and simmer briefly over medium heat. Season to taste with pepper and Maggi. Serve with rice.
