Onion schnitzel casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork schnitzels
  • 500 g boiled, peeled potatoes
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 cups of cream
  • pepper
  • Salt
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Brown the schnitzels on both sides in a pan. Season with salt and pepper and place in a baking dish. Brown the onions in the schnitzel fat. Slice the boiled potatoes and place them on top of the schnitzels. Season again. Add the onions in layers and top with the cream. Bake in a preheated oven at 225°C – 250°C for about 30 minutes. Serve with a salad. Tip: This can also be prepared hours in advance and then put in the oven in the evening (if you’re in a hurry).
