  • 2 large pears or
  • 1 large can/pear(s)
  • 300g Gorgonzola
  • 3 m.-sized eggs
  • 200 g cream or sour cream
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 pack of puff pastry
  • 1 handful of walnuts, if desired
  • salt and pepper
  • chili powder
  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Fold the puff pastry into a single sheet, pressing down the edges if necessary. Place the pastry in a buttered quiche dish and trim the edges. Peel and halve the pears, then remove the cores. Cut each pear into six pieces and drizzle with a little lemon juice to prevent them from browning too quickly. Arrange the pear pieces on the pastry, seasoning them with pepper and a little salt. Sprinkle 1/3 of the crumbled Gorgonzola over the pears, along with walnuts if desired. Using a hand blender, thoroughly mix the remaining 2/3 of the Gorgonzola with 3 eggs, the cream or sour cream, and 1 tablespoon of mustard. Season generously with salt, pepper, and chili, and pour over the quiche. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, until the quiche is golden brown.
