Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • Fat and flour for the mold
  • 150 g butter, soft
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 m.-sized eggs
  • 100 g quark
  • 300 g flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 3 bulb(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Grease and flour a loaf pan. Preheat oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Beat softened butter until smooth. Gradually add sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt. Beat in each egg, one at a time. Finally, fold in the quark. Sift flour and baking powder and mix well. Then stir in portions of the mixture, alternating with the milk. Peel and core the pears. Cut two pears into small pieces and finely grate one. Immediately fold the grated pear and pear pieces into the batter. Spread the batter into the pan and smooth it down. Bake in the preheated oven for approx. 45-50 minutes. After 15 minutes of baking, cut a 1cm deep cut in the middle of the cake lengthwise with a sharp knife.
