Pear Compote

The perfect pear compote recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 7 small festivities Pears
  • 1 tablespoon Extra fine sugar
  • 150 ml Water
  • 200 ml White wine
  • 5 cm from the Cinnamon stick
  1. Wash, quarter and peel the pears, cutting away the core, stems and flower bases. Put the pear pieces with all the other ingredients in a small saucepan, bring to a boil and gently simmer covered for about 5 to 7 minutes. The fruits shouldn’t boil mushy, but still retain a bit of a bite.
  2. After cooling, remove the cinnamon and let the compote cool completely in the refrigerator.
  3. We love this compote with a spoonful of yogurt from Greece and sprinkled with grated chocolate … hmmm!
