Pear Compote
The perfect pear compote recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 7 small festivities Pears
- 1 tablespoon Extra fine sugar
- 150 ml Water
- 200 ml White wine
- 5 cm from the Cinnamon stick
- Wash, quarter and peel the pears, cutting away the core, stems and flower bases. Put the pear pieces with all the other ingredients in a small saucepan, bring to a boil and gently simmer covered for about 5 to 7 minutes. The fruits shouldn’t boil mushy, but still retain a bit of a bite.
- After cooling, remove the cinnamon and let the compote cool completely in the refrigerator.
- We love this compote with a spoonful of yogurt from Greece and sprinkled with grated chocolate … hmmm!
