Apple – Pear – Compote

The perfect apple – pear – compote recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 kg Apples
  • 2 size Pears
  • 2 Tl Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Msp Cinnamon
  • Lemon juice
  • 0,5 Vanilla pod
  1. Peel and core apples and pears and cut into cubes.
  2. Put in a saucepan. So much water that the bottom is just covered and slowly simmer until the pieces are nice and soft.
  3. Scrape out the vanilla pod and add to the compote. Throw in the pod. Add lemon juice to taste, sugar and cinnamon and cook for another 10 minutes. simmer.
  4. Then mash with a potato masher.
  5. Fill the Twist Off glasses while they are still hot and close the lid immediately. Make sure that the edge is clean before closing.
  6. Store cooled glasses in the refrigerator. They can be kept for about 1-2 months.
  7. Goes well with pancakes, rice pudding, ice cream or just like that.
  8. Please fish out vanilla pods before stamping ;-).
