Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 600 g pear(s)
- 200 ml balsamic vinegar, lighter
- 100 g mustard seeds
- 6 allspice berries
- 1 tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp cardamom seeds
- 2 pinches of nutmeg, freshly grated
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 dashes lemon juice
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
goes great with white or grilled sausages
Peel, core, and slice the pears. Bring to a boil with the balsamic vinegar in a pan or large saucepan. Simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes, then puree. Finely grind all the pears, add the salt and sugar. Stir continuously and let thicken for about 5 minutes. While still hot, pour into clean jars, seal immediately, and let cool. Let rest in a cool, dark place for another 2-3 weeks.
