Pear with goat's cheese on puff pastry

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 package of fresh puff pastry (275 – 300 g)
  • 200 g goat’s cheese
  • 2 pear(s), firm (approx. 250 g each)
  • some thyme
  • 4 tsp honey
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground

Halve the fresh puff pastry sheet crosswise. Fold the edges inward by about 1 cm. Spread the cream cheese over the puff pastry and sprinkle with a little thyme. Peel and halve the pears, then remove the cores. Slice the pear halves crosswise and arrange them on top of the cream cheese. Sprinkle with a little more thyme. Preheat the oven to 210°C (425°F). Bake the filled pastry sheets on baking paper for about 15 minutes until lightly browned on top. Remove from the oven, drizzle with honey, and season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Serve with lamb’s lettuce and a glass of wine for a delicious spicy snack or supper.
