Pears – Carrots – Sauerkraut
The perfect pears – carrots – sauerkraut recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1,5 kg Sauerkraut
- 1 size Chopped onion
- 1 tbsp Mild coconut fat
- 2 fresh Diced pears
- 2 medium sized Cut carrots
- 2 tbsp Caraway seed
- Salt and pepper
- 2 piece Bay leaves
- 1 liter Water
- Sear the onion in the coconut oil, add the cut pear and let it turn to glass. Then add the sauerkraut and carrots, season everything with salt & pepper and pour water on top.
- Put the bay leaves (I broke them) on top and add some caraway seeds, close with a lid and bring the whole thing to a boil and simmer for about 1 hour.
- We had boiled potatoes with it.
