Vegan: Veggi – Onion – Gyros with Carrots – Sauerkraut with Potatoes
The perfect vegan: veggi – onion – gyros with carrots – sauerkraut with potatoes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For carrots – sauerkraut
- 500 g Fresh sauerkraut
- 4 piece Grated carrots
- 2 medium sized Roughly chopped onions
- 30 g Alsan – vegan margarine
- 2 tsp My vegetable broth *
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Fresh according to pepper a.d.M.
- 2 cups Filtered water
For veggie – onion – gyros
- 200 g Homemade seitan *
- 1 tsp Gyros spice
- 2 size Cut onions
- 30 g Alsan – vegan margarine
- 30 g Fresh according to pepper a.d.M.
Others
- Potatoes
- My vegetable broth
- Water for boiling
First about the carrot sauerkraut
- Brown the coarsely chopped onions in the Alsan, add the sauerkraut and the grated carrots, pour the vegetable stock over it and fill up with water, bring to the boil and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Veggi – onion – gyros
- I made Seitan the day before. Cut this into fine strips on a board, mix with the gyros spice and leave to stand on the board for a few minutes. Heat the Alsan in a pan, stew the onions in it with the good seitan, it only takes a few minutes, about 5 minutes, then the meat is already ready … and delicious.

- 3 …. Peel, wash and quarter the potatoes, add a little vegetable stock and pour water over them, then cook the potatoes.

a little hint
- Freshly chopped chilli rounds off the meat soagr, unfortunately can’t eat it himself … but the husband liked it.
