Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 jar water, lukewarm
  • n. B. Flour
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 4 onions
  • pepper
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 7 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 37 minutes

Russian tortellini with minced meat filling

Place the eggs and water in a bowl and mix. While stirring constantly, add enough flour until the dough has a firm consistency like bread dough. Knead the dough into a large ball and let it rest. Meanwhile, place the minced meat in a bowl. Finely chop the 4 onions, add them and mix. Season with pepper and salt. Divide the dough into 4 pieces. Roll out the first piece 2 mm thick. Use a glass to cut out round circles. Place a teaspoon of minced meat mixture in the center of each circle. Fold the left half of the circle to the right and press the ends together with your thumb and index finger to create a half-moon with two pointed sides. Join the two ends and press them together with your index finger and thumb. Repeat this process until all the ingredients are used up. Cook the finished pelmeni in salted water for about 7 minutes.
