Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 m.-sized onion(s)
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 3 carrots
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 small can of tomatoes
- 400g penne
- salt and pepper
- 1 m.-sized tomato(s)
- 200 g whipped cream
- 4 stalks of basil
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Peel the onions and garlic. Dice the onions and chop the garlic. Trim, peel, and roughly dice the carrots. Heat the butter, add the onions, garlic, and carrots, and sauté. Add the canned tomatoes and their juices, bring to a boil, and simmer for about 10 minutes. Wash the tomatoes, roughly dice them, and add them to the sauce. Blend the sauce in a tall bowl until smooth. Return to the pot, stir in the cream and basil, and simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Mix the pasta with the sauce and serve.
