Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry, round 30cm
  • 500 g red bell pepper(s), cut into strips
  • 1 onion(s), cut into strips
  • 100 g smoked bacon, finely diced
  • 10 cl sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

as a starter for 8 people

Sauté the onions and bacon in oil. Add the bell peppers and simmer, covered. Stir in the sour cream, reduce slightly, and season with the spices. Let cool, then stir in the beaten eggs. Place the base on the baking paper in the dish and pierce several times with a fork. Spread the bell pepper mixture over the base and bake at 200°C on the second rack for about 35 minutes. Let cool slightly before serving.
