Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 tbsp pesto with basil
  • 4 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • 1 mozzarella
  • ½ baguette(s) or ciabatta
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 1 leaf of basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Mix the basil pesto and cream cheese well. Cut the bread into approximately 1 cm thick slices and bake or toast in the oven or toaster until crispy. Cut the tomato and mozzarella into approximately 5 mm thin slices and pat dry. Spread the pesto cream thinly (or more thickly if you like it saltier) on the slices of bread. Layer a slice of mozzarella and tomato on top, sprinkle with a little pepper, and arrange the sliced ​​basil leaf decoratively on top. Tip: If you like, you can also drizzle with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and a grind of pepper; it also tastes good.
