Pesto cream sauce for pasta

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 g pesto, green or red (bought or homemade)
  • 400 g penne or spaghetti
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 6 dl cream, liquid (half or full fat)
  • 200 g chicken, shredded
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

A quick, tasty and versatile pasta sauce

Brown the shredded chicken in a frying pan with a little olive oil for about 5 minutes without seasoning, then set aside on a plate. In the same frying pan, briefly sauté the finely chopped garlic clove and onion, add the pesto, and pour in the cream. Season with salt and pepper and simmer on low heat until the sauce thickens to your liking. Add the meat to the sauce and simmer briefly. While the sauce simmers, cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente.
