Mom’s recipe from Russia, perfect for summer

Wash and scrub the cucumbers, then trim off the tips at both ends. In a large pot, scatter the dill and add the garlic cloves. Then place the cucumbers on top. Mix the boiling water with salt and pour it over the cucumbers. Weigh them down with an upturned, flat plate to press down the cucumbers. The cucumbers should be covered with water. Then simply let the pot steep overnight and enjoy. It tastes simply delicious!
