Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 8 slice(s) pineapple, fresh
- 2 tbsp butter
- 100 g almonds, chopped
- 8 lemon balm leaves, chopped
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Marsala
- 1 tsp chili flakes, alternatively sambal oelek
- 2 tbsp oil (walnut oil)
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Roast the almonds in a dry pan. Combine the lemon balm with the sugar, Marsala, chili flakes, and oil, then stir in the hot almonds. Fry the pineapple in the melted butter in the same pan for 2-3 minutes on each side. Halve the pineapple slices and arrange them on plates with the almond brittle.
