Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 80 g margarine
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • 100 g sausage of your choice (e.g. cooked ham, salami, etc.)
  • 100 g cheese of your choice (e.g. Gouda, Feta, etc.)
  • 1 bell pepper(s), finely diced
  • 1 small can of tomato paste
  • e.g. herbs such as oregano, basil, etc.

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Waffles with a twist

Mix flour, eggs, margarine, milk, baking powder, salt, and tomato paste into a batter. Dice the vegetables, sausage, and cheese, then stir into the batter. Season with herbs such as oregano, basil, and the like, if desired, and mix thoroughly. Then simply bake waffles in batches in a hot waffle iron (or sandwich maker).
