Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g sugar
  • 3 cups sour cream
  • 7 m.-sized eggs, 4 of which separate
  • 11 tbsp margarine
  • 2 tbsp ammonium bicarbonate
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar or vanilla flavoring
  • 1 kg Flour Type 405

Instructions

Working time approx. 4 hours; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 7 hours 10 minutes

according to grandma’s recipe

First, put the sugar, sour cream, 3 eggs and 4 egg yolks, margarine, baking powder, baking powder, and vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl and beat the mixture with a hand mixer until smooth. Let it rest for about 15 minutes; you’ll see the mixture form slight bubbles. Then mix in the flour until you have a smooth dough, cover the dough with plastic wrap, and refrigerate it for 2-3 hours. After the dough has rested, roll it out to about the thickness of your finger and cut out circles using something like a shot glass or egg cup. You can also use cookie cutters, of course. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake them at around 200°C (convection oven) for 10-15 minutes. Finally, take two packets of powdered sugar and beat them with the egg whites to create a glaze that you can then glaze the cookies with. Let it dry thoroughly and place it in a cookie tin. They’ll keep for up to four weeks.
