For the base, mix butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla sugar, flour, and baking powder into a batter. Spread the batter evenly on a baking sheet. Halve and pit the plums, and spread them on the batter. Then mix the butter, sugar, flour, and vanilla sugar to make the crumble. The longer the crumble is mixed, the larger it will become. Spread it on the plums. Bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes, until the crumble is the desired color. Instead of plums, the crumble cake can also be topped with apricots, peaches, apples, etc.
