Plum jam with apple

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g plums or prunes
  • 1 apple, e.g. B. Golden Delicious, approx. 200 g
  • 50 ml water
  • 2 pinches of speculoos spice or cinnamon powder
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp cane sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Wash the plums, halve them, remove the stones, and cut them into pieces once lengthwise and twice crosswise. Then place them in a saucepan. Wash the apple, remove the core, and cut into small cubes. Add to the plums. Pour in the water and bring everything to a boil. Stir in the speculatius spice, vanilla sugar, lemon juice, and cane sugar and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Purée the fruit with a hand blender, season to taste, and add more seasoning or sweetener if desired. Simmer for another 10 minutes. Enjoy the purée hot or cold with vanilla ice cream, semolina pudding, rice pudding, or pancakes. You can also fill the purée into screw-top jars, seal them immediately, and refrigerate once cooled. I used three 150ml jars.
