Polenta Stars
The perfect polenta stars recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 ml Water
- 500 ml Milk
- 500 ml Salt
- 500 ml Pepper from the grinder
- 1 teaspoon Butter
- 250 g Polenta
- 100 g Parmesan
- Rapeseed oil for frying
- Bring the water, milk, salt, pepper and butter to the boil together in a saucepan – sprinkle in the polenta and let it soak for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently
- Sprinkle in Parmesan cheese, stir in well and pour the mixture into a flat dish – cover with cling film and allow to cool for approx. 30 minutes
- Cut out stars or other motifs from the mixture and fry them vigorously and spicy in hot rapeseed oil
