Polenta Stars

The perfect polenta stars recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 ml Water
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 500 ml Salt
  • 500 ml Pepper from the grinder
  • 1 teaspoon Butter
  • 250 g Polenta
  • 100 g Parmesan
  • Rapeseed oil for frying
  1. Bring the water, milk, salt, pepper and butter to the boil together in a saucepan – sprinkle in the polenta and let it soak for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently
  2. Sprinkle in Parmesan cheese, stir in well and pour the mixture into a flat dish – cover with cling film and allow to cool for approx. 30 minutes
  3. Cut out stars or other motifs from the mixture and fry them vigorously and spicy in hot rapeseed oil
