Polish meatball soup

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 bunch of soup vegetables
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some marjoram
  • 1 bread roll, soaked and squeezed
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 400 g potatoes
  • 200 g bacon

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

with mashed potatoes

Peel and grate the carrots and celery from the soup vegetables, chop the parsley, and slice the leek. Prepare a large pot of water with a little salt and bring to a boil. Add the vegetables and bring to a boil. Mix 500g of minced meat with the onions, egg, salt, pepper, marjoram, and bread rolls. Then shape the meat mixture into small balls and place them in the soup. Stir in a little more marjoram. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and vinegar. Dice the bacon and fry. Cook the peeled potatoes until tender, drain, and mash them once. Mix the mashed potatoes and bacon and serve with the soup.
