Poppy seed cookie coins

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 150 g butter, soft
  • 1 pack of poppy seed cake
  • possibly brittle

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Knead all ingredients (except the poppy seed mixture) together and knead into a smooth dough. Roll out into a long rectangle (best done on a nonstick baking sheet). Spread the poppy seeds all the way to the edge. Carefully roll up the dough from the long side, pressing down gently. Finally, cut the roll into approximately 1 cm wide slices. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes. It also tastes delicious if you mix hazelnut brittle into the poppy seed mixture.
