Pork fillet with gingerbread and chestnut topping

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 pork fillets
  • 2 tbsp oil (rapeseed oil)
  • 200 g chestnuts, pre-cooked (vacuum-packed)
  • ½ tsp gingerbread spice
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat oven to 175°C fan/convection oven. Fry the pork fillets in hot oil for 10 minutes until golden brown on all sides. Finely chop the chestnuts. Peel and press the garlic clove. Mix both ingredients thoroughly with the soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of water, and the gingerbread spice to form a paste. Place the fillets in a baking dish and spread the chestnut mixture over them. Bake in the hot oven for about 30 minutes. Serve with rice.
