Pork loin in orange and white wine sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg roast pork (pork loin)
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 250 ml white wine
  • 4 orange(s), untreated, zest and juice
  • some salt and pepper from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Brown the garlic with the butter in a pan. Add the pork loin and sear it well on all sides. Deglaze with white wine. Season with 3 tablespoons of grated orange zest, salt, and pepper. Once the wine has reduced slightly, add the juice of 4 oranges. Bring to a boil and simmer with the lid on for about 40-45 minutes. Remove the roast from the pan and let it rest in aluminum foil for 10 minutes. Then slice and arrange on plates.
