Potato and asparagus gratin

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, waxy
  • 500 g asparagus, green or white
  • 100 g ham, cooked
  • 250 ml cream
  • 200 ml milk or water
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • pepper
  • Salt
  • Rosemary, ground
  • 1 tbsp, leveled butter
  • 100 g Emmental cheese
  • Parmesan

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Peel and wash the potatoes, wash the asparagus and peel it (depending on the variety). Cut the ham into small squares and sauté briefly in melted butter. Cut the potatoes into thin slices and sauté briefly, then season with pepper, salt, and a little rosemary. Pour in the cream and thin with water or milk. Cut the asparagus into pieces and add it, mix everything well, and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes. Then press the garlic through a garlic press and stir in. Transfer everything to a baking dish and sprinkle with 100g of Emmental cheese and a little Parmesan cheese. Bake in the oven at 200°C for about 30-40 minutes.
