Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 1 kg potatoes
- 125 g bacon, streaky
- 1 ½ liters vegetable broth
- 1 large onion(s)
- some oil
- some lovage (Maggi herb), some leaves
- salt and pepper
- some nutmeg
- some chives or parsley, fresh, chopped
- 6 Bockwurst or Vienna sausages

hearty, quick to make and filling
Peel and dice the onion, and sauté in a saucepan until translucent. Deglaze with the vegetable stock. Add the diced potatoes and chopped lovage and cook until tender. Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry in a pan with a little oil until crispy. Once the potatoes are cooked, add the bacon to the broth with the potatoes and puree everything. If you like, you can set some of the diced potatoes and bacon aside and add them back in later as a garnish. Heat the sausages in the soup. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Sprinkle fresh herbs over the soup before serving.
