Potato and Kohlrabi Casserole with Ham
The perfect potato and kohlrabi casserole with ham recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- Potatoes
- 1 tuber Kohlrabi fresh
- 1 bigger Shallot
- Parsley
- White pepper mill
- Himalayan salt
- 2 Pinches Grated nutmeg
- Sweet paprika
- Whipped cream
- 0,5 for the kohlrabi water Chicken broth instant
- 4 Discs Cooked ham
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
- Peel and slice the potatoes, as well as the kohlrabi, shallot and ham.
- Boil the potato slices for about 10-15 minutes (go faster than whole) and simmer the kohlrabi for about 15 minutes in water with the half stock cube. Attention: then collect the kohlrabi water !!
- Sauté the shallot in butter, add the ham and after a few minutes deglaze with a little kohlrabi stock and cream. Add the parsley and spices.
- Put a layer of kohlrabi in a casserole dish rubbed with butter, then potatoes, again kohlrabi and potatoes. Then pour out the liquid mixture and put the cheese on top and in the oven for about 15 minutes!
