Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g potatoes, mostly waxy
  • 3 stalk(s) leeks
  • 1 large apple, red, sour
  • 400 ml whipped cream
  • 2 tbsp thyme, picked leaves
  • salt and pepper
  • Nutmeg, freshly grated

Instructions

Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly. Trim, wash, and finely slice the leek. Quarter, core, and thinly slice the apple. Layer the potatoes, leek, and apple slices in a casserole dish. Mix the cream with the thyme and season generously with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Pour over the casserole and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 35-40 minutes. It goes well with pan-fried dishes or can be served with salad as a vegetarian main course.
