Potato and onion bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g spelt flour
  • 1 bag of mashed potato powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp herb(s)
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • 3 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 bag(s) of dry yeast
  • 450 ml water
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Salt for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 2 hours 15 minutes

Dice the onions and fry in a little oil until light brown, then drain on kitchen paper and let cool. Sift the flour and knead it with the remaining ingredients to form a dough. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 30-50 minutes. Knead the dough again and place it in a greased or lined loaf pan. Let it rest for another 20 minutes. Brush the surface with oil and sprinkle with a little salt. Preheat the oven to 50°C and place the loaf pan in the oven for 15 minutes. Then set the temperature to 200°C and bake the bread for 20 minutes. Now reduce the temperature to 160°C and bake the bread for 25 minutes.
