Potato cake with ham and herbs

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 800 g potatoes
  • 200 g ham
  • 1 tbsp rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tbsp thyme
  • 2 tbsp basil, cut into fine strips
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel and finely grate the potatoes. Squeeze dry liquid onto a damp kitchen towel and place in a bowl. Cut the ham into large pieces. Add to the potatoes. Mix well with the herbs, egg yolks, oil, and cheese, and season generously with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Line a baking pan with baking paper and spread the potato mixture on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 to 50 minutes until golden brown. If the cake is getting too dark, cover with aluminum foil. Let cool in the pan, then cut into pieces.
