Potato – Cauliflower – Mash with Fried Sausages

The perfect potato – cauliflower – mash with fried sausages recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 medium sized Cauliflower
  • 4 medium sized Potatoes
  • 50 g Butter
  • Salt
  • Nutmeg from the mill
  • 3 piece Hot dog
  • 3 piece Oil for frying
  1. Wash the cauliflower and cut off the florets, place in a saucepan and simmer with salted water until soft.
  2. Peel and wash the potatoes, cut in half, quarter and also cook in salted water.
  3. When both are soft, drain the water, add the cauliflower to the potatoes and mash well with the butter. I didn’t use milk for this because the cauliflower is very wet.
  4. Season the whole thing well with nutmeg and possibly salt.
  5. Put the oil in a pan and fry the sausages that I previously cut crosswise in it on both sides.

Serving

  1. Put the potato and cauliflower mash on the plates and place the sausages on top.
  2. We had a carrot salad with it, you can find it here in my cookbook 😉
