Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes
  • salt and pepper
  • 150 g cheese (Pikantja from Gouda)
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 tsp thyme or rosemary
  • nutmeg
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Grate the cheese. Peel the potatoes, cut them into wafer-thin slices, and layer them in a greased, ovenproof casserole dish. Add a little salt. Bring the whipped cream to a boil with thyme (or rosemary, etc.) and a grind of pepper. Then season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper and pour over the potatoes. Finally, sprinkle with the grated cheese (you can also use half Parmesan and half Piktanje). Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes.
