Potato pan with thyme

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 400 g bell pepper(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 tbsp clarified butter
  • 1 small bunch of thyme
  • 200 g cheese, grated (Emmental)
  • salt and pepper
  • chili powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the potatoes, roughly dice them, and boil them in lightly salted water for 15 minutes. Drain and let them cool. Meanwhile, slice the spring onions into rings, trim and dice the bell peppers, and finely chop the garlic. Heat the clarified butter in a large, deep pan. Add the potatoes, paprika, and thyme, and fry for about 3 minutes. Then add the spring onions and garlic and fry for another 5 minutes, turning occasionally. Season with salt, pepper, and chili powder. Sprinkle with the cheese, cover the pan, let the cheese melt, and serve immediately.
