Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 750 g dumpling dough
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 250 g cheese, grated
  • 300 g bacon cubes
  • 1 cup of crème fraîche, herbs
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Mixed herbs
  • Tabasco

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Mix the dumpling dough with the eggs. Finely chop the onion and garlic and add to the mixture. Fold in 80g of grated cheese and knead well. Season to taste. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Sprinkle with bacon and scatter the remaining cheese on top. Bake everything in the oven at 180°C for about 25 minutes. Meanwhile, season the crème fraîche with salt, pepper, and Tabasco. Remove the tray from the oven and let cool for about 5 minutes. Then spread the crème fraîche on one side and roll up the base. The roll can be eaten hot or cold. You can also use 750g of regular potatoes, boil them, and mash them.
