Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes, waxy
  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • some salt (from the mill)
  • some pepper (from the mill)
  • some vinegar essence, diluted
  • 200 ml broth, clear
  • 250 g dried meat, streaky bacon, pork belly
  • 1 large onion(s)

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

a savory version without mayonnaise

First, boil the boiled potatoes in salted water. Meanwhile, finely grate the cucumber and season with salt, pepper, and vinegar, then set aside. Dice the jerked beef and onion and fry. Set aside. Peel and slice the potatoes, then season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Pour the broth over the potatoes. Add the cucumber and vinegar broth. Mix in the jerked beef and onions and let everything simmer for about 20 minutes.
