Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes, peeled
  • 1 liter of water
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • 3 bay leaves
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 4 tbsp vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel the potatoes and add 1 liter of water. Season with thyme, marjoram, bay leaf, salt, pepper, and 1-2 crushed garlic cloves, and cook until soft. For the gravy, sauté a finely chopped onion in fat or butter, then add the flour. Mash the soft-boiled potatoes thoroughly, add the onion/flour mixture to the potatoes, add the vinegar, stir briefly, and the potato sauce is ready.
