Grandma’s recipe

Cook the soup vegetables with the whole onion, spices, bouillon cubes, and salt until well cooked. Add the sliced ​​potatoes. Once tender, mash the potatoes and pass them through a sieve (you don’t need to pass them through if you prefer chunky potatoes). Stir in 1/4 cup sour cream, a teaspoon of mustard, a pinch of sugar, salt, pepper, and butter (or fried bacon bits). Finally, add chopped green parsley. Add lightly fried sausages or sliced ​​”Pommersche” (meat sausage) to the thick soup.
