Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • 250 g potatoes (cooked the day before)
  • Salt
  • nutmeg
  • marjoram

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Preparation: Mix the eggs with the flour and mashed potatoes and season with spices. Bring water to a boil in a large pot, add salt, and press the dough into the water using a spaetzle press. When the spaetzle rise to the surface, they are ready and can be skimmed off with a colander. Work the dough in batches. Transfer to a platter and garnish with browned butter, if desired.
