potato waffles

Spread the love

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 kg jacket potatoes (from the previous day)
  • 6 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 80 g butter
  • ½ liter of milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 300 g flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Finely grate the potatoes, chop the onions as finely as possible, and melt the butter. Mix all ingredients into a batter and let it rest for about 20 minutes. Bake waffles in a waffle iron at medium temperature (I used setting 4.5 out of 6) until golden brown. The waffles taste best warm. They’re especially delicious with herb curd cheese or applesauce, or as a side dish to vegetable soup.
