Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 10 pretzel rolls or pretzels, stale
- 300 ml milk, warm
- 20 g butter
- 100 g bacon cubes
- 1 small onion(s)
- ½ bunch parsley
- 3 eggs
- Salt
- nutmeg
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Cut the rolls into thin slices. Boil the milk, pour it over the rolls, and let them stand for about 30 minutes. Heat the butter and fry the bacon bits in it. Finely chop the onion and parsley. Sauté briefly, then let everything cool. Add to the rolls along with the eggs, salt, and nutmeg and mix well. Rinse your hands in cold water and form medium-sized dumplings. Place them in boiling, salted water and let them stand for about 15 minutes. Tip: If the dough is too wet, adjust it to the right consistency with regular breadcrumbs.
