Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 pretzels or pretzel sticks
  • 1 shallot(s) or onion, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 bunch parsley, flat-leaf, chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Clarified butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

quick to make and delicious

Cut the pretzels into small cubes and place them in a bowl. Combine the eggs, milk, onions, and parsley with the spices and sprinkle over the cubes. Mix everything well and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then knead well, spread it on a sheet of plastic wrap, and form it into a roll. Wrap it in aluminum foil and cook in gently simmering water for 20 minutes. Unwrap the roll, cut it into slices, and fry the slices in clarified butter until nicely browned. Tastes excellent with any roast.
