Soul food
First, dice the bread and toast in a pan with a little butter until crispy, then add directly to the casserole dish. Next, dice the onions and sauté until translucent. Then dice the meat, add it, and fry for 5 minutes. Dust with flour and spread evenly, then deglaze with the white wine. Then add a cup of crème fraîche or sour cream and mix well with salt, pepper, and curry powder. Pour this mixture over the toast cubes in the casserole dish. Scatter the corn on top. Slice the boiled eggs and arrange them evenly. Mix the second cup of crème fraîche or sour cream with the cheese. You can add as much cheese as you like. Spread this mixture over the eggs. Slice the tomatoes, also distribute them evenly over the casserole, and garnish each with a little herb butter. Bake the casserole in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat) for 50 minutes. Of course, you can still play around with the individual ingredients to suit your own taste. The basic structure is pretty much the same. While it takes a bit of time to prepare and may seem a bit complicated at first, it’s really not, and regardless, it’s 100% worth it!
