Probiotic strawberry yogurt for the Thermomix

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter milk, low-fat
  • 1 bottle of yogurt, e.g. Yakult, Actimel
  • 1 handful of strawberries
  • 4 tbsp agave syrup

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 16 hours; Total time approx. 16 hours 15 minutes

I prepared this recipe in my Thermomix. It can also be made on the stovetop or in a blender. Heat 1 liter of low-fat milk to 40°C and add a bottle of probiotic yogurt. Stir the mixture gently for about 10 minutes at 40°C. Then transfer everything to a sealable bowl and store in a warm place for about 8 hours. I placed the bowl on the fireplace. It should only be lukewarm, around 25-30°C. Then refrigerate the mixture for another 8 hours. My mixture didn’t set as solid as regular yogurt. It will probably firm up even more if you let it stand longer or use different starter cultures. Add the strawberries to the Thermomix or regular blender and chop them with the agave syrup. Then add the finished yogurt and stir again. The yogurt is then ready to drink from glasses.
