Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 50 g hazelnuts, ground
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil or other neutral oil
- 30 g protein powder / whey, neutral or with chocolate-hazelnut flavor
- 15 g baking cocoa
- 50 ml milk or unsweetened milk alternatives
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Roast the ground hazelnuts in a pan, stirring constantly, until golden brown. Let cool. Blend the hazelnuts with the sunflower oil using a hand blender until a smooth paste forms. Blend until a thick paste forms. Mix the protein powder with the cocoa powder. Make sure there are no lumps. I use a whisk for this. Add the hazelnut butter (or store-bought) and milk to the protein powder and cocoa powder. Stir until a smooth paste forms. You can add more or less milk, depending on your preferred consistency. Store the protein hazelnut chocolate spread in the refrigerator and consume within a few days. It tastes great with bread, pancakes, or just on its own.
