Provençal tart

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry from the refrigerated section
  • 500 g tomatoes
  • 100 g mustard (Dijon mustard)
  • 100 g grated cheese (Emmental)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp herbs de Provence
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Line a round pizza pan or baking sheet with puff pastry. Don’t forget to form a rim. Brush it thickly with Dijon mustard and sprinkle the Emmental cheese on top. Thinly slice the tomatoes and place them tightly on top of the cheese. Finely chop the garlic and sprinkle over the top, drizzle with a little olive oil, and season with salt and herbs. Bake for 20 minutes on the second rack from the bottom in an oven preheated to 200°C. It tastes best served lukewarm, makes a great appetizer at a barbecue, and tastes great cold too!
