Ingredients

to roll over

  • Rum
  • 35 g Walnuts
  • 50 g Cake scraps
  • 35 g Cane sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoon Chopped walnuts

Instructions

Prepare a few days in advance

  • soak the prunes in rum (can be made a week earlier, the longer they marinate, the more intense they taste)

preparation

  • chop the marinated prunes very finely - chop the walnuts into fine pieces - grind the cake scraps to fine crumbs (alternatively you can also use ladyfingers or rusks) - ATTENTION: if you don't want to bite on nuts, you can chop the walnuts together with the cake crumbs in the Moulinex - I wanted the balls a little more rustic!)
  • Mix the chopped prunes with the chopped walnuts and the cane sugar in a bowl - mix in the chia seeds and cake crumbs - first chill overnight so that everything combines well and the chia seeds can swell
  • The next day, roll the mixture into small balls and roll them in chopped walnuts

TIP

  • If there are leftovers when baking a cake, e.g. cut-off edges and the like, then I freeze them and use them later for my Christmas balls or for punch mass ... so you always have what you need at hand
