Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry from the refrigerated section (roll)
  • n. B. Mustard, medium hot
  • 1 pack of herbs de Provence, frozen or dried
  • 5 gherkins
  • 1 pack of cooked ham (back-cooked ham)
  • 1 pack of cheese (Gouda)
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Roll out the puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 175°C. Brush the puff pastry generously with mustard. Sprinkle the herbs on top. Arrange the ham tightly on the puff pastry, finely dice the gherkins and sprinkle them on top. Place the cheese slices tightly on the pastry. Now fold in the edges and carefully roll the pastry up from the long side. This should form a long roll. Press the end of the roll together firmly so that the end of the roll is firmly attached to the other end of the roll. Now brush the roll well with egg yolk. Bake the roll in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown. It tastes good hot or cold and is a hit at parties.
